Namita was born on 21 March 1977 in Pune to an affluent Mehta family. Her father, Satish Mehta, is the founder of Emcure Pharmaceuticals and is the first person in his family to set up a business. Namita grew up in Pune with her parents and completed her primary and secondary education from her hometown.
Namita was very bright in studies since childhood, she engrossed in studies that she never participated in school co curricular activities.
